Frequently asked questions
We believe that art should lead the design, not follow it. Instead of adding art as a final decoration, we use a central piece of artwork to define the room’s atmosphere. Every other element, from the materials and lighting to the overall balance of the room, is carefully chosen to complement and enhance that artistic identity.
We treat every space as a curated composition. We start with the artwork as the focal point, then shape the lighting, materials, and layout of the room to match its mood and style. This ensures the entire space feels cohesive and intentional.
At Nrdesign Studio, art always comes first. We use artwork to set the "soul" of a space. Once the art defines the identity of the room, we build everything else, like light, texture, and balance, around it to create a perfect harmony.
Yes. We collaborate with architects, interior designers, and private clients to create bespoke artworks tailored to specific environments. Custom-developed works can even be reserved for exclusive use within a single project to ensure complete uniqueness.
No. Our artworks are developed as long-term design assets. We focus on timeless compositions rather than temporary trends, ensuring each piece remains relevant even as your interior environment evolves.
Yes. Our works are designed to elevate professional environments, including hotels, offices, galleries, and restaurants. While residential use is covered by your purchase, commercial use requires an individual license per artwork.
No, the official digital certification for your artwork is provided completely free of charge. Once your purchase is confirmed, the file will be issued and delivered directly to your email within 10 business days.
To make your selection process easier, our collection is organized into distinct catalogues based on color palettes, themes, and tonal balance. This allows you to explore artworks within a specific "aesthetic language" that fits your project.
While you can browse and buy individual pieces at www.nrdesign.gr, our downloadable PDF catalogues are specialized tools for professional spatial planning. They are curated specifically for hotels and interior designers, organizing the collection by exact color palettes, themes, and tone temperatures. This allows professionals to instantly find a cohesive visual direction for large-scale projects, ensuring that every artwork in a room or hallway works in perfect harmony.
You can visit the catalogue section of our website and select the specific themes or color directions that match your project. After a simple signup, a secure download link for the high-quality PDF will be sent to your email, giving you a structured, offline resource for your design presentations and mood boards.
No. All artworks remain the exclusive intellectual property of the artist. Your purchase covers the physical piece for personal or licensed commercial use, but it strictly prohibits any form of scanning, reprinting, or digital reproduction.
Absolutely not. Selling, redistributing, or uploading NRDesign Studio imagery to POD platforms or any other resale service is a violation of copyright law. Our secure digital authenticity record is in place specifically to prevent unauthorized duplication and protect the value of original work
The Verification Layer is a specialized digital record used exclusively to guarantee the originality of our art. It functions as a high-level security standard for provenance; it is not a digital product for sale and cannot be transferred or used for reprinting.
No. Artworks purchased for private, residential interiors are intended solely for personal use and do not require any additional licensing. (Please note that commercial use in spaces like hotels or offices does require an individual license).
We collaborate with designers, architects, and private clients to create bespoke artworks tailored to your specific environment. To request a custom piece or to inquire about our full catalogue, please contact us at INFO@NRDESIGN.GR
Yes. Our collection extends into premium interior accessories, including woven blanket throws and cushions that are designed to complement your spatial composition. We are also continuing to evolve, with upcoming releases that will include curated décor objects and furniture collections.
No, the print quality and canvas material are strictly identical across all our products. Whether you order a rolled canvas for a custom project or a fully finished float frame, you are receiving the exact same premium, gallery-grade artwork. The only difference is how the physical piece is finished and shipped.
We use a heavyweight 400gsm premium artist-grade cotton substrate. It features a finely woven texture that consistently reproduces intricate image details with a rich, tactile, museum-quality feel.
GSM stands for "Grams per Square Meter" and measures the thickness and density of the canvas. At 400gsm, our canvas is exceptionally thick and heavy. This premium density ensures that the canvas stays completely taut and will not sag, warp, or easily puncture over time, a common issue with the thin, flimsy canvases (usually 200–300gsm) used by mass-market retailers.
We print exclusively using state-of-the-art Latex and UVgel technology. Unlike traditional inkjet or eco-solvent printers, UVgel uses a unique LED curing process. This means the ink drops precisely onto the canvas without spreading, resulting in razor-sharp details, perfectly smooth gradients with zero "banding" (visible print lines), and incredibly rich, opaque blacks.
Yes, they are highly durable. One of the major advantages of UVgel and Latex printing is superior abrasion resistance. The ink bonds deeply with the 400gsm canvas, creating a tough, water-resistant surface that is highly resistant to scratches. Furthermore, our archival-grade inks guarantee a 200+ year display permanence, meaning the colors will not fade even decades from now.
Because every digital screen is calibrated differently, there can be very slight variations between a backlit screen and a physical printed canvas. However, our UVgel technology supports a massively wide color gamut and strict color profiling, ensuring the most accurate, vivid, and true-to-life color reproduction possible.
No. Our canvas has a finely textured, matte, glare-free finish. Unlike art placed behind traditional glass or printed on glossy photo paper, it does not reflect windows or room lights. This means the artwork can be viewed perfectly from any angle in your room.
Absolutely. Because we use eco-friendly, water-based Latex and UVgel inks rather than harsh solvent-based inks, our canvases are completely odorless and produce zero harmful VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). They are 100% safe for sensitive indoor environments like nurseries, schools, or hospitals.
Yes. We are deeply committed to ethical production. The canvas, inks, and protective coatings are 100% vegan-friendly (containing zero animal products). Furthermore, all wood and paper materials are sourced from sustainable forests, and we utilize a global printing network to print your art as close to your location as possible, drastically reducing international carbon emissions.
We use ultra-high-resolution designs combined with state-of-the-art UVgel printing technology. This advanced process perfectly captures the lighting, shadows, and intricate depth of thick paint strokes. It creates a stunning optical illusion of 3D texture and depth on a flat, gallery-grade canvas surface, delivering the aesthetic of an original painting with the sleek finish of a modern print.
A float frame features a slim wooden frame that sits slightly away from the edge of the canvas, creating a 5mm "shadow gap." This gap produces a clean floating effect that adds depth and dimension, resulting in an elevated, gallery-style finish that is ideal for photography and bold designs.
We offer six distinct frame colors to complement any interior style:
Antique Gold: Adds a touch of luxury with warm, aged undertones.
Antique Silver: A refined metallic accent with cool, shimmering undertones.
Black: Sophisticated and timeless with matte undertones.
Brown: Earthy and warm, fitting mid-century modern and artisan decor
Natural: Organic, raw wood texture for rustic or eco-chic spaces.
White: Clean and bright, perfect for minimalist or Scandinavian decor.
We offer a wide range of sizes, but the specific sizes available will vary depending on the artwork you choose. Please refer to the individual product page to view the exact size options for each specific piece. (Please note: Hanging equipment is not included).
A float frame offers a refined, gallery-style alternative to a standard stretched canvas. Because the frame sits slightly away from the edge of the canvas, it creates a subtle shadow gap. This "floating" effect draws the eye directly to the image, adding an elevated sense of depth and dimension.
No, please note that hanging equipment is not included with your order. You will need to purchase the appropriate hardware for your specific wall type.
We designed our six frame colors to fit specific aesthetics:
Minimalist & Coastal: Choose White for a clean, luminous presentation.
Modern & Contemporary: Choose Black for a timeless, sophisticated matte look.
Traditional & Elegant: Choose Antique Gold for a touch of warm luxury.
Art Deco & Glam: Choose Antique Silver for a cool, shimmering metallic accent.
Rustic & Scandinavian: Choose Natural to embrace organic wood textures.
Mid-Century Modern: Choose Brown for rich, earthy depth.
Absolutely. Our prints are made using water-based inks, and all paper and wood are sourced from sustainable forests. Additionally, the entire product is 100% vegan-friendly, containing no animal products.
We utilize a global network of local fulfillment centers. By printing and assembling your canvas as close to your location as possible, we significantly reduce carbon emissions associated with international transit.
To ensure your print lasts for decades, you should keep it out of direct sunlight and away from highly reflective surfaces like mirrors or glass. You must also keep it a safe distance from direct heat sources, such as fireplaces and radiators.
No. You should never use liquid or chemical products to clean the canvas. To clean it safely, simply use a soft brush periodically to remove any settled dust.
Our stretched canvas is a premium, artist-grade print that is carefully tensioned over a custom-built internal wooden frame. Every canvas is stretched and finished entirely by hand to ensure crisp edges, smooth corner folds, and a clean, professional presentation.
The frame is built for long-lasting structural stability. It is crafted from sustainably sourced, European kiln-dried, knotless pine and features a finger-jointed construction. The stretcher bars have a specialized curved profile to reduce pressure on the canvas and prevent marking. Additionally, larger formats include corner wedges so you can easily keep the canvas taut over time.
No, hanging equipment is not included. This allows you to select the safest and most appropriate hardware for your specific wall type.
All of our stretched canvases come standard with a premium Mirror Wrap finish. This means the outer edge of the image is seamlessly reflected and repeated on the sides of the frame. We use this as our standard because it ensures 100% of the original artwork remains fully visible on the front face, without any important details wrapping around the sides.
Yes. While Mirror Wrap is our standard, we understand that specific interior designs may call for a different look. If your project requires a custom edge (such as a solid Black Edge, a White Museum Edge, or a traditional Image Wrap), these are available as custom requests. Please contact us before placing your order to arrange this.
Your art is packaged with the utmost care to ensure it arrives in pristine condition. Each stretched canvas is shipped in a rigid, double-walled corrugated cardboard box for maximum protection during transit.
A rolled canvas print provides the exceptional quality of a gallery masterpiece without the bulk of a pre-stretched frame. It allows you to receive professional-grade artwork that you can customize and finish locally.
No, the print quality is exactly the same. Whether you order your artwork rolled, stretched, or in a float frame, we use the exact same premium artist-grade canvas and advanced eco-friendly inks. The quality remains unmatched; the only difference is how the physical artwork is finished and delivered to you.
Purchasing a rolled canvas is the ultimate choice for art collectors and interior designers who want total control over the final presentation. It gives you the freedom to work with a local framer to create a highly customized display, whether you want it hand-stretched over a custom gallery bar or placed beautifully behind glass in a bespoke frame that perfectly matches your interior decor.
Yes, purchasing a rolled canvas is more cost-effective upfront. Because it does not include the internal wooden stretcher bars or the outer frame, the production cost is lower. Additionally, shipping a rolled canvas in a tube avoids the high shipping costs associated with bulky frames. However, please keep in mind that you will need to factor in the future cost of having it professionally stretched or framed locally once you receive it.
To ensure your artwork arrives in absolutely pristine condition, it is carefully rolled and shipped inside a rigid, spiral-wound cardboard poster tube fitted with secure plastic end caps.
Because they are shipped in compact tubes rather than large boxes, rolled canvases are highly optimized for international delivery. This significantly reduces shipping costs and helps minimize the environmental impact of transit.
Yes! All of our rolled canvas shipments feature "white-label" delivery. This means there is no external branding or promotional material on the outside of the packaging, making it a perfect and discreet option for direct gifting.
To keep your canvas looking its best, place it away from direct sunlight, fireplaces, radiators, and damp areas. Keep it in a stable room-temperature environment. For cleaning, use a soft, dry brush to gently remove dust. Avoid water, damp cloths, and cleaning sprays. If you frame or stretch it locally, follow the same care basics for long-term protection.
